THE SEARCH IS ON TO UNEARTH YOUNG TALENT

The search is on to unearth the best local talent in the Hume Goulburn Valley Region with the inaugural running of the OUT OF NOWHERE Battle Of The Bands competition.

The competition will hit its climax on the eve of the Euroa Music Festival on Friday the 4th of November, with five grand finalists set to perform in the main street of Euroa in front of what will be an excited music-loving crowd.

And with so much up for grabs, event organizers are optimistic young bands will be eager to enter.

The winner will secure their spot on the 2023 Euroa Music Festival line-up, plus win a recording, production & mentoring package from Small Time Group in Brunswick.  All grand finalists will receive tickets to attend the Euroa Music Festival on Saturday the 5th of November.

The OUT OF NOWHERE battle of the bands' competition is to be coordinated by Strathbogie Shire Freeza and the team at Euroa Music Festival.

""This is an amazing opportunity for young musicians in the Hume Goulburn Valley Region to compete & continue to develop their craft. We’re expecting over 2000 people to visit Euroa over the Euroa Music Festival weekend, so to kick off the weekend with the OUT OF NOWHERE grand final, will be a big deal for all involved,”  Euroa Music Festival director Adam Palmer said.

Annette Wallton, the Youth Development Officer for the Strathbogie Shire, who will be working with passionate young music-loving people in Euroa to coordinate the event is equally excited.

"“The Strathbogie Shire Freeza crew are really looking forward to coordinating and presenting the Out of Nowhere Battle of the Bands. We have such an exciting youth music program happening across the shire and to connect with young bands from across the region will only enhance it.”
